Assistant Purchaser - Portland, OR

Location: Portland, OR - After 90 days of employment this position will move to hybrid with 1-2 days in the office a week.

Pay: $20 - $22 hour

What you’ll do:

Responsible for but not limited to initiating and keeping track of all purchase orders using the Open PO report, conducting follow ups with vendors, processing invoices, and working with accounts payable on any issues pertaining to service ticket discrepancies. Conduct help/follow up with PMs for Subcontractor set up as well as truck/equipment rentals for installs; Assistant Purchaser supports Director of Purchasing & Logistics and Purchasers as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Pull Open PO report on a daily or weekly basis and follow up with vendors, techs, and warehouse managers to confirm that all PO’s have been received and obtain invoices as needed.
  2. Responsible for notifying team of any alerts/concerns pertaining to immediate needs.
  3. Process invoices as needed; utilizing our database (Microsoft Dynamics) to confirm status of PO receipt.
  4. Reconcile product cost is consistent between CSG PO and vendor invoice. If costing is not consistent, will work with the Director of Purchasing & Logistics and/or Purchasers to get discrepancy resolved.
  5. Data entry which includes updating vendor parts pricing, Subcontractor set up, and Truck/Equipment Rental agreements as needed.
  6. Obtain tools for technicians
  7. Completing bi-monthly van stock orders for security technicians
  8. Completing weekly orders COH Main Stocks
  9. Reconciling monthly Home Depot PO’s
  10. Maintain Amazon purchasing account status
  11. Backing up Service Purchasers for PTO and overflow

What you’ll bring:

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

HS Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. 1 or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong computer skills with MS Office Suite. Ability to communicate efficiently and consistently with internal and external partners. The ability to multi-task with strong time management skills is a must!
